Comprehensive evaluation of drought resistance of new flue-cured tobacco varieties in Henan Province by drought index method

Abstract: Taking Zhongyan 100, Yunyan 87 and NC89 as control varieties, PEG(polyethylene glycol) simulated drought test and pot water control test were used to study the effect of drought stress on the new varieties. Drought index method was used to evaluate the drought resistance of the new flue-cured tobacco varieties in Henan Province. The results showed that Heluo No.1 had the strongest drought resistance; the second was Yunongxiang 201, which had strong drought resistance under moderate drought stress, and the normal growth of tobacco leaves was affected under severe drought; the drought resistance of Qushou No.1 was basically equivalent to that of the control variety NC89, Zhongyan 100 and Yunyan 87.
