Study on the factors affecting the survival and development of returning migrant workers under the epidemic:Data from field research in southern Shaanxi

Abstract: For the questionnaire of returning migrant workers in Shaanxi Province who had not gone out under the COVID-19 epidemic, the survival situation was analyzed by the method of principal component analysis. The results showed that returning migrant workers faced problems in the aspects of security measures, employment and entrepreneurship. Among the factors affecting the survival and development situation of returning migrant workers in Shaanxi Province who had not gone out, the promotion factor carried the most variables and its influence was the largest. The next factors were entrepreneurship factor, work factor, individual characteristics factor, stress resistance factor, economy factor and life factor. Accordingly, the survival and development ability of returning migrant workers who had not left home in Shaanxi Province under the epidemic could be improved by improving the guarantee mechanism, establishing the employment service platform, developing the rural economy, and promoting employment through entrepreneurship.
