Abstract: Climate-smart agriculture is a new mode of agricultural production under the condition of climate change. Through a series of scientific management, it can maintain or even enhance the ecosystem service function and reduce the negative impact of ecological environment. Carbon measurement is not only the basic means to quantify greenhouse gas emissions, but also the effective basis to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Based on the experience of CDM project, this paper discussed the climate-smart agricultural carbon emission reduction methodology, and from the setting of boundary and baseline, the selection of carbon pool and key emission sources, the measurement method of carbon sequestration and emission reduction, taking the rice-shrimp farming model as an example, the measurement methodology of carbon sequestration and emission reduction of climate-smart agriculture was discussed.

Key words: climate-smart agriculture, carbon emission reduction, carbon measurement methodology, rice-shrimp farming
