Abstract: Based on the data of China Household Finance Survey in 2019, this paper analyzed the general characteristics of farmers’ entrepreneurial families, and studied the influence of family income status on farmers’ entrepreneurial decision-making. The results showed that the middle and low-income peasant households were not suitable for entrepreneurship, the peasant entrepreneurship presented the characteristics of the “rich peasant”, and the family income structure had a significant impact on the entrepreneurial decision-making of peasant households. When the household income of farmers was more than 25 000 yuan, active entrepreneurship was no longer significantly inhibited. When the household income was between 50 000 yuan and 100 000 yuan, it could significantly promote passive entrepreneurship. Wage income had a significant inhibition on active entrepreneurship, and transfer income had a significant inhibition on passive entrepreneurship.
