Effect of 6-BA on the multiplication of adventitious shoots of endangered plant Paeonia ludlowii

Abstract: Axillary buds and terminal buds of Paeonia ludlowii were used as test materials to study the effects of different concentrations of 6-BA on the induction and multiplication of adventitious buds. The results showed that, in the multiplication culture of adventitious buds, the better medium for differentiation was WPM+30.0 g/L sucrose+7.5 g/L agar+0.5 mg/L 6-BA+30.2 mg/L GA, pH 5.8~6.0; the addition of 0.5 mg/L 6-BA to the medium significantly improved the multiplication of adventitious buds, and the growth of test tube seedlings showed the best performance. In terms of the multiplication and growth of Paeonia ludlowii adventitious shoots, the medium supplemented with 6-BA was more favorable for the growth of tissue culture seedlings.
