Abstract: In order to explore the key technologies and the sustained control effects of Phytoseiulus persimilis against Tetrangchus urticae, the control effects of Phytoseiulus persimilis against Tetrangchus urticae on greenhouse watermelon were studied under different release periods and quantities. The control effects of Phytoseiulus persimilis released for 4 consecutive years were investigated. The results showed that the release time significantly affected the control effects of Phytoseiulus persimilis against Tetrangchus urticae. When the average number of Tetrangchus urticae was ≤2 per leaf, the control effect was the best and the maximum control effect was 82.3%. When the average number of Tetrangchus urticae was >50 per leaf, the control effect was poor, and it was not suitable for release. The control effects of Phytoseiulus persimilis against Tetrangchus urticae were also significantly affected by the release amount. The control effects of 25 and 30 Phytoseiulus persimilis m2 were over 80% for 7 d and 14 d, and the control effect of 14 d was significantly higher than that of 43% bifenazate suspension. Phytoseiulus persimilis was used to control Tetrangchus urticae for 4 consecutive years in fixed point and tent. The release quantities of natural enemies decreased year by year, and the control effect was 89.7% when the release rate of Phytoseiulus persimilis amounted to 10 predators/m2.
