The influence of tourists' place attachment on social distance in ethnic villages：A case study of Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village

Abstract

Abstract: The host-guest communication is one of the core attractions of ethnic villages. How to enhance the emotional solidarity between tourists and residents of the destination and meet the needs of tourists' emotional experience is an important factor in the sustainable development of ethnic villages. An influence mechanism model of ethnic village tourists' place attachment and emotional solidarity on social distance was constructed, and an empirical study was conducted Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village as an example. The results indicated that tourists' place attachment significantly positively affected emotional solidarity; tourists'place attachment had an indirect effect on social distance through the complete mediation of emotional solidarity; emotional solidarity significantly positively affected affinity, and significantly negatively affected avoidance.
