Abstract: In this study, the genome-wide re-sequencing technology was applied in Jianghan chicken population for genetic variation identification, the results showed that, 35 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and 2 indels in the β subunit gene of follicular estrogen (FSH) were found, one single-base mutation in the cds could cause glycine to serine. Combining with bioinformatics softwares, M6A modification site prediction, regulatory element prediction and miRNA targeting sequence prediction were further analyzed. It was found that 7 single-base mutations were located in the potential regulatory element sequence, and 7 single-base mutations and 1 indel were located in the potential miRNA binding sequence. Those genetic mutations may be involved in the regulation of FSHβ gene expression, and play a certain role in the genetic characteristics of Jianghan chicken.
