Evaluation of participating cabbage varieties in Hubei Alpine

Abstract: 101 participating cabbage (Brassica oleracea L.) evaluation tests were carried out at Hubei Alpine vegetable test station in Huoshaoping township, Changyang, the main Alpine vegetable producing area at an altitude of 1 800 m, and 17 excellent varieties were selected. The varieties with good comprehensive characters of ball type are C-9, C-30, C-34, C-35, C-40, C-42, C-43, C-44, C-46, C-57, C-58 and C-59. The varieties with good comprehensive characters of flat ball type are C-1, C-2 and C-70. The varieties with good comprehensive characters of chicken heart and cow heart types are C-72 and C-85.
