Abstract: ERECTA is one of the receptor-like protein kinase. It participates in the control of plant type and organ morphology, and plays an important role in stress resistance. In this study, potato (Solanum tuberosum) was used as the research object, and the cDNA sequence of potato ERECTA gene was amplified by RT-PCR. The results of bioinformatics analysis showed that the cDNA of ERECTA gene has a full length of 3 281 bp, including an open reading frame, which contains 2 973 bp, can encode 990 amino acids, and contains 10 conserved motifs. From the phylogenetic tree and multiple sequence comparison analysis, the amino acid sequence of potato ERECTA has high homology with other plant ERECTA amino acid sequences. The secondary structure analysis showed that potato ERECTA is dominated by α-helix and random coil. The three-dimensional structure prediction showed that potato ERECTA contains 8 leucine-rich LRR motifs. The results provide a theoretical basis for further research on the function of potato ERECTA.
