Development of rain monitoring and alarm program based on Quartz.NET

Abstract: In order to obtain the precipitation data of the meteorological station from the Web server of the three-level forecast service platform of the Sichuan Meteorological Bureau, and to promptly remind the staff on duty to provide corresponding meteorological services when the precipitation value exceeds the prescribed threshold, C# Language was adopted, based on Quartz.NET developed a rain monitoring alarm program. The results show that the rain monitoring and alarm program based on Quartz.NET can not only monitor the accumulated precipitation data of various weather stations within a specific time period and within a specific area in real time, give timely alarms, but also automatically generate rain notifications required for decision-making weather services. The documentation greatly reduces the labor intensity of the staff, improves work efficiency, and plays an important role in the heavy weather service work during the flood season.
