Abstract: In January, March, May, July, September and November 2018, samples were taken from five sampling sites in Baiyangdian to investigate the flora composition, density and abundance of phytoplankton species, Shannon-Wiener index, Pielou index and Margalef index were used for biodiversity analysis and water quality evaluation. The results showed that there were 74 species of phytoplankton belonging to 7 phyla at the sampling sites, among which diatom and green algae were dominant, the species of phytoplankton were abundant, and the water quality was moderately polluted according to the comprehensive evaluation.
