Abstract: The effects of different fertilization treatments on crop yields and soil physical and chemical properties of pepper-cabbage rotation system were studied. The results showed that fertilization could increase the yield of pepper and Chinese cabbage, and the yield of 2/3 chemical fertilizer nitrogen+1/3 organic fertilizer nitrogen treatment was high, which was 7 808 kg/hm2 for pepper and 65.18 t/hm2 for Chinese cabbage. Fertilization could improve soil physical properties, cultivation and application of organic fertilizer could reduce soil bulk density, and application of organic fertilizer could increase soil water content. After fertilization, the activity of urease, alkaline phosphatase and invertase in the soil were all increased. There was no significant difference among soil invertase and catalase activity, pH, and organic matter content in different fertilization treatments. Soil EC, mineral nitrogen, and available phosphorus and the content of available potassium were significantly increased. Considering crop yield, soil physical and chemical properties, fertilizer utilization rate and soil enzyme activity, 2/3 fertilizer nitrogen+1/3 organic fertilizer nitrogen was recommended.
