Abstract: Zhongyoufei 1 was a new rapeseed variety which could use for green manure or oilseed production which was bred by the oil crop research institute of Chinese academy of agricultural sciences. The results of 2-year multi-site experiment in Hubei province showed that, under low fertilizer input conditions, the fresh weight of shoot biomass was 43 560.0 kg/hm² on average, which was 15.81% increase than that of the control variety Yangguang 2009, the amount of N, P（P₂O₅） and K（K₂O） returning were 88.20 kg/hm²,14.25 kg/hm² and 119.10 kg/hm², increasing by 21.2%, 12.5% and 17.3%. The seed yield of Zhongyoufei 1 was slightly more than that of the control cultivar under low N fertilizer input conditions, and its seed quality meeted the criteria of double low rapeseed in China. Under normal fertilizer application, the variety could be used as seed production and green manure.
