Abstract: Tapetum is the innermost structure of anther wall in rice. It is the provider of enzymes and sporopollen for the formation of fertile pollen grains. It is of great significance to regulate pollen fertility. At present, a series of transcription factors involved in the development of rice tapetum have been isolated, which are involved in the development of tapetum. In this paper, the molecular mechanism and regulatory network of transcription factors such as MADS, bHLH and PHD finger related to rice tapetum development were summarized, which laid a foundation for further understanding the molecular mechanism of rice tapetum development.
