Abstract: This study explored the rural spatial characteristics and influencing factors in southern Henan through field research and document combing methods, and clarified the deconstruction and reconstruction of influencing factors in current rural life. The results show that the overall space of southern Henan village is highly integrated with nature, and the spatial form is flexible; The public space has a strong sense of place and poor guidance; The residential courtyard is ecologically livable and has a strong aesthetic. The formation of rural characteristics is affected by both internal factors and external factors, but the weakening of internal factors and the changes of external factors in rural life have led to the subsidence of rural characteristics. The new era of rural life should be combined with the strengthening of regional culture, the continuation of the ecological concept, the characteristic service life, and the integration of new factors to reconstruct the characteristic influencing factors, in order to provide theoretical support for the continuation of the rural regional characteristics of southern Henan.
