Abstract: The high and stable yield ability of 26 wheat varieties (lines) in the regional trial of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze river in 2016-2017 were analyzed by using the high-stable yield coefficient (HSC) method. The results showed that the evaluation results acquired by HSC method were basically consistent with that of conventional statistical analysis. But HSC can measure the consistency of high and stable yield of varieties more simply and intuitively through HSC value. After analysis, Huihong 225 was evaluated as a typical high and stable yield variety as its yield, HSC value and coefficient of variation ranked the first, the first and the second respectively. So it should have a wide popular prospect in the future.
