Abstract: The effect of difenoconazole on wheat seed germination and seedling growth for controlling disease was studied through laboratory test. The results showed that difenoconazole could promote seed germination and improve seed vigor under the appropriate concentration. When the dosage of reagents for 3 mL/kg, wheat germination potential, germination index and vigor index were 94.72%,34.12 and 1.46, respectively. Seed coating by difenoconazole had promoted seedling growth effect, which wheat seedling the largest root length and underground part fresh weight were 20.6 cm and 2.21 g/10 strains, and which plant height and fresh weight above ground were 22.5 cm and 4.83 g/10 strains when the dosage of reagents for 3 mL/kg. Seed coating by difenoconazole had good control effect to wheat crown rot, which the disease index reduced significantly compared to contrast. The incidence, disease index and control effect were only 9.33%,6.58 and 90.93% when the dosage of reagents for 5 mL/kg.
