Abstract: The influences of mineral elements on soil nutrition, tree nutrition, fruit yield, quality and resistance of kiwifruit(Actinidia chinensis Planch) were summarized. Mineral elements mainly included macro elements (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium), middle elements (calcium, magnesium, sulfur), trace elements (chlorine, boron, zinc, iron). The interaction between nutrients was introduced, and the appropriate ranges of nutrient concentrations in kiwifruit leaves as well as in soil were also described. Several problems on nutrition of kiwifruit research were presented, including the nutrient demand in soil for different kiwifruit species and their accumulation characteristics of nutrients, the efficient utilization of nutrients, the interaction effects of nutrients and balanced fertilization, should be focused.

Key words: kiwifruit(Actinidia chinensis Planch), mineral elements, nutrient effect, yield, quality
