The population and distribution status of wild green peafowl in Xinping county,Yunnan province

Abstract

Abstract: From January to December in 2017, a exhaustive investigation has been carried out on the population and distribution of wild green peafowl by visiting survey, line-transect method and trap camera methods in Xinping county, Yunnan province. The results showed that there was indeed a distribution of wild green peafowl in Xinping county, which was mainly distributed in 6 areas of 5 townships with a total population of 126~163. Through investigation and statistics, the total area of existing wild green peacock habitats in Xinping county was 14 511 hm².
