General investigation and statistical analysis of crop germplasm resources in Zigui county

Abstract

Abstract: Crop germplasm resources is the basis of crop breeding, genetic research and ecological stability, and it is considered as the national strategic resources for its importance in food security and agricultural sustainable development. Based on the statistical analysis of the data from the general investigation of crop germplasm resources in 1956, 1981 and 2014, a comprehensive comparation and analysis about the agricultural production structures, crop planting configurations, crop variety structures and local characteristic resources of Zigui county are performed. The results will not only provide the reference data for the development and planning of Zigui county agricultural industry, but also establish the basis for the utilization of the characteristic resources, the conservation of rare germplasm resources and the improvement of income level of mountain people.
