Abstract: Two plants of hawthorn and olives were used as experimental materials,hawthorn extract and olive extract were prepared by solvent soaking,refluxing and concentrating process,and then composite extracts were obtained in a certain proportion.After the extract was dissolved by the addition of propylene glycol,sample was added to the cigarette for flavoring. Smoking results showed that,hawthorn extract and olive extract in a 2∶1 ratio of complex can significantly improve the quality of cigarettes,and the aroma is still sufficient,good aroma quality,aftertaste slightly weakened,mixed gas weakened,harmony enhanced,the stimulus slightly strengthened. GC-MS analysis of volatile composites in composite extracts indicated that the extract of hawthorn and olive can play a complementary role. 70 kinds of volatile components were detected, including mainly 27 kinds of esters,15 kinds of aldehydes,17 kinds of alkenes,3 kinds of organic acids,3 kinds of alcohols and 2 kinds of ketones,which laid the substance foundation for improving cigarette smoking effect.
