Abstract: Differential land policy is put forward based on the heterogeneity of land resources in China, although it has played a good role in promoting regional land use and economic development, but from the current implementation situation, it still has lots of problems such as the lack of policy implementation flexibility, inadequate of control degree, the "short board" existence of compensation mechanism, without maintainability in legal rights of benefit injured areas, and imperfect of policy system. Therefore, it was suggested to adopt the flexible differential land supply policy, perfect the related compensation standards, speed up the building of differential land policy system, and strengthen the coordination between differentiated land polity and other policies, in order to promote the coordinated development among regions.

Key words: differentiation, main functional areas, compensation standards, flexible land supply, policy system
