Abstract: The effects of foliar fertilizer with different contents on the seedling growth of tomato(Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) seedlings were studied on the basis of peat and perlite(volume ratio 2∶1) in plug seedling culture. The results showed that the root-shoot ratio and seedling index of treatment 5 were significantly higher than those of the other 8 treatments, while the indexes including seedling plant height, diameter, leaf number, aboveground and underground dry weight are not lower than other treatments. Comprehensively, it was suggested that the treatment 5 including 0.2% urea and 0.1% potassium dihydrogen phosphate foliage spraying 15 d after seedling emergence was the best treatment and could be applied in the production practice.
