Abstract: Due to the special geographical environment and climate characteristics, the edge town of the Taklimakan Desert in China have restricted scale of green space. Many urban green infrastructures have been initially established, but they have not formed a functional green land ecological network, which affects the development of urban ecological landscape pattern. Based on the current situation of land use in Alar City on the northern edge of the Taklimakan Desert, this study proposes to integrate the channels within the city into the urban green space ecosystem, emphasize the integration of the green network of the forest network, and draw on the successful experience of Aksu to utilize geographic information technology to build a green ecological network of Alar city.
