Abstract: The screening sensitivity and antifungal contamination ability of Poa pratensis and Cynodon dactylon under artificial conditions were compared. C. dactylon had been assayed for their responses to 2 herbicide compounds under different temperature, amount of agar-solution and growth period. The results showed that C. dactylon was more sensitive to herbicide standard compounds and also stronger in antifungal ability than P. pratensis. C. dactylon showed the highest sensitivity at 25 ℃. C. dactylon showed the most sensitive to standard compound after 48 h incubation, reducing the amount of agar-solution could improve the final concentration of the compounds,it was equivalent to increasing the sensitivity of the C. dactylon screening. The screening of 1 880 real extracts showed that C. dactylon was stable, high efficiency, and high sensitivity target of monocotyledon weed for the screening. C. dactylon was one of the top choices of monocotyledon for screening of herbicide lead compounds.
Key words: Poa pratensis L., Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers., lead compound, herbicidal activity, monocotyledon
